Education Policy Questions
The role of school psychologists in education policy is to provide expertise and guidance in the development and implementation of policies that promote the overall well-being and academic success of students. They contribute to policy discussions by offering insights and research-based recommendations on issues related to student mental health, learning disabilities, behavior management, and social-emotional development. School psychologists also collaborate with policymakers, educators, and other stakeholders to ensure that policies are inclusive, equitable, and effective in meeting the diverse needs of students. Additionally, they may conduct evaluations and assessments to inform policy decisions and advocate for evidence-based practices that support positive educational outcomes.
