Routing And Switching Questions
The purpose of VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) in a network is to provide a backup or redundant default gateway for hosts in case the primary gateway fails. VRRP allows multiple routers to work together as a virtual router, with one router acting as the master and the others as backups. If the master router fails, one of the backup routers will take over as the new master, ensuring continuous connectivity for the hosts.
